It's the first thing every business owner wants to know, and the hardest to get a straight answer to. So here's the honest version: most small-business websites in Ireland cost somewhere between about €800 and €6,000 — and where you land in that range comes down to a handful of things. Let's break it down.

The typical ranges in Ireland

Broadly, here's what different kinds of website cost as a one-off build in Ireland in 2026. These are ballpark figures — real quotes vary — but they'll give you a realistic sense of the landscape:

DIY website builderWix, Squarespace — you build it yourself
€150–€500 / yr
Freelancer or template siteA theme customised with your content
€800–€2,500
Custom small-business siteDesigned and built from scratch for you
€2,000–€6,000
Online store / e-commerceProducts, checkout, payments
€3,000–€10,000+
Large or bespoke buildComplex sites, custom systems, agencies
€10,000+

Most local businesses — a café, a clinic, a trades company, a shop — sit in that custom small-business band, and don't need anything near the top end.

What actually drives the price

Two "brochure" websites can be quoted at €900 and €4,000. The difference usually comes down to:

The costs people forget

The build is a one-off. A few smaller, ongoing costs come with any website:

None of these are big, but it's worth knowing they exist so a quote doesn't surprise you later.

Why the cheapest option often costs more

A €300 template can look like a bargain until it loads slowly, looks like ten other businesses, and quietly turns visitors away. Your website is usually the first impression a customer gets — if it's clunky or generic, you don't get told, you just don't get the call. A well-built site is the one that actually earns enquiries, which is the whole point of having one.

You may be able to halve the cost

Here's the part a lot of business owners don't realise: through the Grow Digital Voucher from your Local Enterprise Office, eligible Irish businesses can claim back 50% of the cost, up to €5,000. On a €3,000 website, that's €1,500 back. We've written a plain-English guide to the Grow Digital Voucher that walks through who qualifies and how to apply.

The quick version
  • Most small-business sites in Ireland: €800–€6,000
  • Custom, built-for-you sites typically €2,000–€6,000
  • Budget for domain (~€15/yr) and hosting (€5–€30/mo) on top
  • Eligible businesses can claim up to €5,000 back via the LEO grant

Where we fit in

For context, our own projects start from €1,800 for a high-conversion single-page build, with payment spread across 2–4 instalments, and we can point eligible businesses at the LEO grant to bring that down further. Every site is custom-built, delivered in around 14 days, with unlimited revisions before it goes live. If you'd like a real number for what you have in mind, get in touch and we'll give you a straight quote — no obligation.

Please note: the figures above are general guidance for the Irish market at the time of writing (August 2026), meant to help you budget. Every project is different — the only way to know what yours costs is to get a proper quote.
